In December, just before the holidays, our friend received news that no person wants to
hear. She was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) and Metastatic
Adenocarcinoma- Breast Cancer. Although these words are heavy, Heather’s journey
has been marked by both tears and triumphs, but she never lets the difficulties define
her. Instead, she chooses to focus on the beauty of life, the love of family and friends,
and the small joys that each day brings. She continues to teach the power of positive
attitude, the importance of support, and the strength that can be found in vulnerability.
Her story is one of perseverance, reminding us all that even in the face of life’s most
daunting battles, the human spirit can soar above it all.
